WHAT IS ULTRASONIC TESTING?
Ultrasonic technology plays a critical role in many inspection-oriented industries. High frequency sound waves are able to pass through hard or soft materials; as they are reflected, a detailed picture of the material's innermost properties is electronically reproduced. When used is testing high-pressure cylinders, the wave reflecting technology targets masked material defects and structural imperfections, which often go unnoticed.
